New York Still Life

This piece is on a 10x12 canvas it is acrylic and collage. I thought this piece was very New York because everyone in and outside New York, know that New York has the best Pizza and i used the collage to represent a magazine on top of the pizza box.

This is my still life of eggs, I have no idea how to flip the photo so you can look at it the right way.

I used black and white acrylic paint on a 9x10 canvas.

LaGCC 9/11 Exhibition

These two photos are from Laguardia Community College's 9/11 Art Exhibition: "Witness- A Look Back to the Future" E Building, corner of Van Dam and Thomson
Fifth Floor Presidential Gallery.

The first photo is from a picture of one of the Twin Towers, after the explosion from the plane. This piece was very detailed and reminded when I saw it on the news that day. The second piece is a photo of a missing persons poster. I chose this piece because I never saw an actual missing persons poster from 9/11, but I remember hearing about all the missing people on the news.

Riots, Protest, Mourning and Commemoration (as represented in newspapers, January 2000-July 2002)

I chose this peice because it reminded me of when I was a child trying to understand Septemeber 11. Trying to figure out out who, what, when and why.This peice reminds me of seeing the terrorist videos on the news and and lookig at the covers of newspapers. I also chose this peice because it not the artists perception of Septemeber 11, but actual visuals of September 11.
